Supplement for the paper “Dynamics of a bouncing dimer”

چکیده
In this supplement we describe our event driven algorithm along with the collision rules relevant for motion of the dimer in the drift (D) mode. For the convenience of reading we recall here the general approach. Our dimer is made of two heavy spheres of radius R connected by a light (weightless) rod. The distance between the centers of spheres is L. The dynamics of the dimer is governed by the Newton equation written for the center of mass (CM) velocity v = (u, 0, v) and the angular velocity ω = (0, ω, 0)
